Things going on in W 239-B:

  • Biology, Earth and Environmental Science tutoring- schedule sessions through the Learning Center, but meet in my office
  • Sustainability Club projects
  • After guzzling that water or soda on campus, don't toss the bottle, chuck it in the big can outside my office, and sign up to go on the next recycling center trip
  • Drop off old handouts and 3 ring binders on the table outside my office, and come help out with re-purposing them into notebooks for students
  • Stop in and dig some dirt- students of all majors keep various plant experiments and projects

My research interest is sustainability, specifically United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that address environmental conservation.

As the creator of the Abington Sustainability Council, my research goal has been to determine how to increase the inclusion of Sustainable Learning Concepts (SLCs) in the curriculum and facilitate collaboration between students, faculty and staff across the academic divisions.

As the Abington representative of the Commonwealth Arboreta Network (CAN) and a recipient of the Undergraduate Community Engaged Research Award (UCERA), I am teaching students to work with colleagues, faculty, and staff to transform Abington campus into an accredited arboretum and rebuild the campus Teaching/Learning Garden.
