Registration opens on February 2 and is ongoing until courses are filled.
Summer Session Schedule:
Maymester – May 12 to June 9, 2025
Summer Session I – May 19 to June 30, 2025
Summer Session II – July 2 to August 15, 2025
Instructions for Visiting Students:
Step 1: Confirm with your college that the selected courses/credits are transferable to your home institution. Call 215-881-7387 or email Eva Klein [email protected] to obtain a copy of the course syllabus.
Step 2: Fill out the Initial Registration for Non-PSU Students. You should do this early as it takes some time to get your account all set up and I wouldn't want you to be shut out of a popular course. Many of our courses fill within the first few days.

Step 3: Check your email for two emails from PSU. One email will contain a link for you to create a password for your LionPATH account. Once you are on LionPATH, you will need to complete a pre-registration activity guide. This can be found on the right-hand side of your home screen. You must do these activities before you will be able to register for classes.
Step 4: You should log into LionPATH to register for your summer courses.
Please note:
If you are registering for a course that has prerequisites, please fill out the Prerequisite Override Request Form in Lionpath. Your instructor will check with you that you have met the required prerequisites at your home university. Scroll down to the bottom of this page for instructions.
Step 5: Your bill will appear in your LionPATH account. Payment can be calculated from the registration form or from our tuition website information.
Please make sure to check your PSU email and LionPATH account to stay up to date on all correspondence from PSU
To Cancel Registration: Before the first day of the semester, students may cancel their registration without financial penalty. Students scheduling classes after the first day of the semester will be assessed a late registration and late payment fee.
Transcript Request: At the end of your course(s) you will need to contact the registrar's office to request that a transcript be sent to your college/university. Request a transcript.
Registration is ongoing right up until the start of class, so it isn't too late to register!

Hybrid and Online Courses
We also offer many hybrid or completely online courses over the summer - courses that fit your lifestyle and schedule. You will see the word web, hybrid, or online when you review our complete course list.
Summer Parking Information
For courses that meet in person, you may obtain a parking permit by following the directions at this link:
Summer Parking Information. You will purchase a purple parking permit and the cost is $30.
Summer Housing Information
The summer housing waitlist has opened. Housing needs to see if there is enough interest to support a supper housing cohort of students before they make a final decision.

Steps to Submit a Prerequisite Override Request
- Log into LionPATH using your Access ID and password.
- From Student Home Base, click on the Enrollment button
- Click Request Prerequisite Override from the left-hand menu.
- Review the information presented on the page titled Prerequisite Override Request: Important.
- If proceeding with the request, click Next.
- Make the required selections on the page titled Prerequisite Override Request: Information.
- Select Add or Drop.
- Select Term.
- Click Next.
- You will be presented with different views based on whether the request is to Add or Drop.
When the request is to Add:
- Review the information presented on the page titled Prerequisite Override Request: Add a Class
- If you selected Summer on the previous screen, select a Campus.
- Select the Subject Area and Catalog Nbr. Only subjects and catalog numbers with enforced prerequisites will display in the dropdowns.
9. Click Next.
10. On the page titled Prerequisite Override Request: Provide Justification:
- Type your responses into the required text boxes:
- written justification (e.g., took prerequisite at another institution, prerequisite is not unavailable)
- missing prerequisite/concurrent course(s).

11. If applicable, in the File Attachments section, upload supporting documentation (e.g., transfer credit, email approval from instructor).
12. When you are satisfied with your request, click Submit.
13. Check your PSU email to confirm that your request was submitted. You will receive additional notifications via PSU email. Please expect 3-5 business days for your request to be processed.
